The Tower 04:16
Think once, think twice If you think too long everything dies For all the lies that you’re telling to me I gotta rub it in your face so sue me Well, I don't know, don't care I’ve fucking had enough of everywhere Once I'm through with this rotten tower I'll climb to the top and I'll claim the power yeah Once I lose control I'm burning down the world for a girl Don't look, don't stare You'll turn to stone if you fucking dare Despite my battling to keep you with me I gotta live with the curse within me So just turn and run I shouldn't be around anyone This monster that I'm becoming Must answer the wizard's summoning Once I lose control I'm burning down the world I don't know how to save Through breaking every seal The pattern is revealed And everything must die for a girl Think once, think twice If you think too long everything dies For all the lies that you’re telling to me I gotta rub it in your face so sue me Well, I don't know, don't care I’ve fucking had enough of everywhere Once I'm through with this rotten tower I'll climb to the top and I'll claim the power yeah Once I lose control I'm burning down the world I don't know how to save Through breaking every seal The pattern is revealed And everything must die for a girl

The Emperor 01:44
Now you know that you must lay low When you're standing before me girl Now you know there ain't nowhere to go Without me by your side Tell me a story For if you bore me You won't live to see the sun So I sacrifice countless wives On the search for our future queen Pouring lead in their mouths and their eyes Stretching bone and tearing sinew I would forgive you But I must do The right thing for my people
3.
The Magician 02:53
Counting these coins Softly sundering Softly sundering Wielding these blades Breathe out Breathe out Empty these vessels Measure the mark Measure the mark Burning these branches High to the sky High to the sky Tell me all your secrets I'm wishing for a vision of a hole in the sky Tell me I'll defeat it I wanna be the last to go mad but I don't I wanna take it back home but I won't Counting these coins Wielding these blades Empty these vessels And burn these branches Softly sundering Breathe out Measure the mark High to the sky

The Sun 04:11
I miss you You used to be my good friend But the weather's turned And we have burned All the bridges Tell me why It breaks me to see you To see you this way On tv They tell you and they tell me That a broken heart is the perfect start To this senseless battleground I wish you'd try To understand me I wanna see you in the sun Waking up There's enough for everyone Fill your cup Try to make each other feel Invincible Even if it makes us Uncomfortable Whoa Beware, oh Comfort may be your enemy It can keep you from your goal As I let it mine For too many times, whoa I secluded my mind from you all What useless purity I wanna see you in the sun Waking up There's enough for everyone Fill your cup Try to make each other feel Invincible Even if it makes us Uncomfortable Whoa
5.
The World 03:48
Can't defeat these powers They never change Can't defeat these powers These powers The world don't do anything for me anymore The things we do ain't meant to come true it shakes my faith to the core I stood on my two feet holding up the world Can't defeat these powers These powers Let it in Murder on the dance floor Run for the door Crushing sin Murder on the dance floor Can't defeat these powers They never change Can't defeat these powers These powers Who the hell am I why try to tacitly understand The look on your face says it all you don't seek for my eyes when you speak I stood on my two feet holding up the world Can't defeat these powers These powers Let it in Murder on the dance floor Run for the door Crushing sin Murder on the dance floor Swim in the gore Feeling thin Murder on the dance floor Can't defeat these powers They never change Can't defeat these powers These powers

Who do you know that can speak to God? A fancy man who’s never known sod Taken from an early age Made to play on the church's stage Who do you know that can speak to God? Stop praying Start saying I am the source of divine inspiration Just put one foot in front of the other Who do you know that can speak to God? Speak in the tongues and smite with the rod And it makes him very sick To listen to a heretic Who do you know that can speak to God? Start praying Start saying I am the source of divine inspiration It goes in one ear and out the other

PSYCHIC FRIENDS

This record started as a series of songs for a Dodekapus art installation at the Flux festival. I made charts and midi files of the compositions, and got Harold Torres to handle brass while Marty Broztge added mandolin. For the record, Marty moved to bass and Chris Edwards joined on drums. The songs on "Psychic Friends" are all somewhat based on the Tarot, but have a more gypsy metal feel by design
